The Chilean Association of Banks, ABIF, is the trade organization that brings together all the private banks operating in Chile as well as foreign banks with representation offices in the country.
One of its main objectives is advocating for all measures that enable member institutions to contribute effectively to increasing national prosperity.
Its bylaws state that the Association of Banks shall respect the particular interests of each member. Said interests cannot be cause of motion, discussions or resolutions, as it relates to the internal operations, organization and regime of each associate.
Founded in 1945, today 23 banks and three representations offices are members of Abif.
